Use this form to book your first or second dose of the Meningitis B (MenB) vaccine.
You need two doses of the MenB vaccine to provide full protection.
When booking a second dose, you should book an appointment which is at least four weeks (28 days) from your first dose.
Before confirming your booking, please make sure you are able to attend, as we are unable to cancel or amend bookings.
You may be asked to prove your eligibility on the day of your vaccination.
Children and young people in school years 11, 12 and 13
• Children and young people in school years 11,12 and 13 from the affected schools will also be offered the vaccine at school.
• Students from other schools are not eligible for the vaccination, unless they have already received a first vaccination and need to complete the course of two doses.
If you have had a private first vaccination
• If you are eligible for a vaccine and had your first dose privately, the NHS can give you your second vaccination.
• However, this must be the same type of vaccine.
• There are two different MenB vaccines, Bexsero and Trumenba. We are offering Bexsero.
• If you had Trumenba for your first vaccination, you need to return to your private provider for your second dose. Please do not use this booking form.
• We will ask you to bring proof of first vaccine with you to your appointment.
If you had the vaccine at your GP
• Please ensure you have the NHS app, so we can verify the vaccine you received and the date.
• If the NHS app isn't available, you could provide a letter or any other proof showing the vaccine and the date it was administered.
• If you do not have either of these, please still book the appointment and speak to the clinician on the day.
On the day of your appointment
• Please arrive in your allocated time slot - there may be a short wait.
• Please have something to eat or drink before attending.
• Please don’t bring anyone with you, unless you need extra support.
• Let us know if you need any additional support on the day, we are always happy to help.
• We will ask you to wait in the centre for 15 minutes after your vaccination.
